RAMBAN: The National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) Block Ramsu, in collaboration with the Department of Cooperatives, organized a one-day registration camp in Ramsu, here today.
The camp was organized and attended by the deputy registrar of cooperatives, Ramban Priyanka Sharma, the NRLM district nodal officer, Manzoor Ahmed Rather and other officials from both departments.
On this occasion, the members of the Group were informed of the advantages and functioning of cooperatives in rural areas. All the members, mainly women of the NRLM, were enthusiastic about joining the cooperatives. More than 10 cooperatives from different fields such as dairy, retail crafts and consumers have been formed on site.
The main objective of this mega camp was to register new cooperatives in the field of dairy products, hardware, etc. About 150 members participated in the camp and the formalities of information on the spot of the cooperative societies were completed.
The initiative was welcomed by civil society and the PRI from the Ramsoo bloc present. Members were assured that other such camps will be organized in the future for the upliftment of the rural and oppressed populations of Ramban district.
