The Carolina Public Interest Law Organization (CPILO) is hosting its first annual $5,000,000 Charity Run/Walk on Saturday, February 26, 2022. 100% of proceeds go toward funding summer scholarships for students doing internships unpaid public interest. underserved communities across the state and country. The event will start at 7:30 a.m. and all participants must complete the course by 10 a.m. Participants can run or walk. Strollers and pets are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a participant over 18.

Campus police will assist attendees at busy intersections, although all attendees are encouraged to use sidewalks whenever possible. Prizes will be awarded to the best graduates. There will be no official timing system – this is a fun run/walk. If the event is cancelled, including for public health reasons, all attendees will be offered a “virtual” option.

Participants will pick up bibs and sign a waiver when checking in on race day. Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. on February 26 at UNC Law School. Water will be provided once along the course and at the finish. Stick around after you finish the class to enjoy free snacks including coffee from Carrboro Coffee and Open Eye Cafe and bagels from Brandwein’s Bagels (while supplies last)!
